Hello there, fellow fishermen!

I am Captain Ricky Long of the New Double R Charter Fishing Service, based in beautiful Little River, South Carolina.

I was born and raised at the Little River waterfront and have been charter fishing in the summers and commercial fishing in the off-season all my life... well, let's just say for over 30 years!

Yes, I've been doing this for a long time, and have lifelong experience fishing the coastal and gulf stream waters.

The fishing in this area is plentiful, and many young people may not know that the Grand Strand became known for the fishing as well as the beach life.

Along the Grand Strand are several different types of charter boats. There are party or "head boats" which take out larger groups, as well as smaller private charters, and even cruises for sightseeing.

The wide range of charters along the Grand Strand offer inshore, offshore, waterway and river fishing for all levels, from the first timer to the experienced sportsfisherman.

Shore fishing is also popular here, from the sand or the piers along the coastline.

In recent years, federal government rules and regulations have become very stringent on the amount and type of fish that can be brought back to the docks, but there's certainly no limit to the amount of fish you can catch and release.
